Forecast Student Reading Growth

Capstone Digital has partnered with MetaMetrics® the creator of The Lexile® Framework for Reading, the most widely adopted reading measurement system in use today. The partnership resulted in the inclusion of embedded assessment within myON reader to help create a measurement of student reading progress and help monitor and forecast student reading performance. Using the scientific research and development of Lexile measures, myON reader is able to forecast each student’s reading growth using two primary assessments embedded within myON reader: end of book quizzes and benchmark tests.

myON reader quizzes

Students take a quiz at the end of the book (teachers have the ability to turn on or off) to monitor comprehension of a book just read. Teachers and administrators can access reports to determine student results of book quizzes.

myON reader benchmarks tests

After several books are read and completed, myON reader provides an automatic benchmark assessment to measure changes to a student’s reading ability. myON reader compiles the data on each student and based on several benchmark assessments can forecast student reading growth.

Upon completion of the benchmark, myON reader automatically generates a new recommended book list based on the results. Students are able to track their progress through their own trajectory report.

Analyze through Standardized Reports

myON reader provides a list of standardized reports for teachers and administrators to help monitor progress and identify gaps. These reports are easily accessible and are available for download.

There are reports specific for teachers, librarians, and administrators to help track and monitor each student, group of students or an entire class.
